Training overview
Our Mechanical Maintenance of Rotary Kilns and Dryers training seminars have run regularly for over 25 years in many territories including Russia, Ukraine, Scandinavia, South Africa, Greece, Turkey, UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and most recently the Balkans. During the seminars we share our knowhow with attendees so they return to their plants with a thorough understanding of the important differences between static process equipment and dynamic rotary equipment and the ability to carry out their own maintenance inspections and planning. We also provide details of useful contacts for when unexpected on-site problems are encountered.
Our training seminars are suitable for all plant engineers, production and maintenance personnel. The programmes are designed to share the fundamentals, latest ideas and technologies in preventative and corrective rotary vessel maintenance and equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep their rotary equipment and plant running at optimum efficiency.
In-house training
When there is a need to train a group of employees we work with our customers to deliver a training programme designed to meet the specific training needs at their own plant. Our expert rotary engineers bring their decades of experience and deliver the training to your staff on a date and at a location of your choice.
Public seminars
An invaluable opportunity to spend three days with British Rema’s expert rotary engineers, fully immersed in the critical aspects of rotary vessel mechanical maintenance. Participants will learn industry best practices and gain knowledge and skills that will have a positive impact on their working practices and plant performance.
Over the years we have sent quite a number of our Rotary Engineering Maintenance and Engineering staff to the kiln seminars on rotary vessels. The seminar provides our engineers with a better understanding of the static and dynamical aspects of the rotating vessels in our fertiliser plants. This gives us a sustainable advantage in our quest to optimise our up-time and cost factors. Besides acquiring in-depth knowledge, it gives the participants the opportunity to meet peers from other companies and to expand their personal network. Last, but not least, the seminars are very well organised and fun to attend.

I have been able to immediately apply what I learnt at the kiln training seminar to benefit our business, for example, by making simple adjustments to kiln positioning in order to consume less energy. We’ve also detected two problems that we have been able to solve straight away, just by changing our daily inspection procedures.
