Engineering studies

Our engineering team is available to undertake studies associated with definition of customer equipment and plant requirements.

Studies often include evaluation of client materials properties, which may assist in determination of type and size of equipment required and include bulk density, particle size distribution and Bond Work Index.

Site surveys and design studies can also be undertaken in order to define equipment and plant, where necessary in accordance with regulatory requirements: ATEX, DSEAR, PED.

Projects can be aimed either at providing advice or full system design.

Equipment design

Whilst British Rema has an extensive portfolio of standard equipment, it is often the case that a customer application requires a specialist solution.

Our engineering team is equipped with the knowledge, experience and 3D modelling software to be able to design and supply bespoke equipment solutions.

Equipment trials

A range of British Rema process equipment is available in our UK-based contract processing facilities.

Trials can be run on customer supplied materials to help define the appropriate equipment and plant to suit a particular application. Trials can be undertaken utilising impact, rotary classifier and opposed jet mills, as well as air classifiers and a range of powder mixing and blending equipment in our blending test centre.

British Rema’s powder processing experts are available to discuss trial outcomes and advise on equipment options.

Installation supervision

As part of our project management service, British Rema is able to offer on-site assistance during the installation of British Rema equipment and associated ancillary plant.

This includes supervision of a customer’s supplied installation team by British Rema’s engineers.

Commissioning

Our engineering experts are available for the on-site commissioning of British Rema supplied plant and equipment.

This may include ‘dry running’ of equipment and also live commissioning with product and training of the customer’s personnel in the efficient operation of the plant.
